Thales I-Master

The Thales I-Master is a compact, lightweight airborne surveillance radar engineered to deliver superior intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities across various platforms, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and manned aircraft. Designed for all-weather operations, day or night, the I-Master provides actionable intelligence for both ground and maritime environments.

Compact, Multi-Mode Radar for Persistent ISR

The Thales I-Master is a lightweight, high-performance surveillance radar designed for seamless integration on both unmanned and manned aerial platforms. Housed in a compact 15-inch gimbal, it delivers advanced multi-mode functionality including Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Ground Moving Target Indication (GMTI), Coherent Change Detection (CCD), and Maritime Moving Target Indication (MMTI). Operating in all weather and lighting conditions, the I-Master provides 360° coverage, ensuring persistent situational awareness with minimal need for aircraft repositioning. Its ultra-fine SAR imaging pierces through fog, cloud, rain, and smoke—making it an essential sensor for complex and dynamic ISR missions.

Versatile Mission Capabilities Across Land and Sea

The I-Master’s powerful radar suite is optimized for detecting both stationary and moving targets, from fast vehicles to dismounted individuals, and can automatically highlight subtle changes in a scene using CCD—ideal for tracking temporary encampments, infrastructure changes, or illicit activities. It has been successfully deployed across a variety of platforms including the Watchkeeper UAV, Beechcraft KA350, Schiebel S100, and Textron’s Scorpion Jet. Whether tasked with border security, maritime patrol, disaster response, or military operations, the I-Master enhances real-time decision-making through reliable, high-resolution intelligence over wide areas.
