ATI RTA4100

Collins Aerospace RTA-4100

The RTA-4100 MultiScan™ Weather Radar by Collins Aerospace is an intelligent, fully automatic radar system designed to give pilots a comprehensive, clutter-free view of weather up to 300 nautical miles ahead. Equipped with advanced digital signal processing and integrated turbulence detection, it delivers enhanced situational awareness and minimizes pilot workload, making it an ideal solution for both commercial and business aviation applications

Automated Weather Assessment with Precision Hazard Detection

The RTA-4100 revolutionizes weather radar by eliminating the need for manual adjustments during flight. Its MultiScan™ automatic operation continuously evaluates atmospheric conditions using advanced algorithms, merging multiple radar scans to construct a 3D, real-time view of weather systems. Unlike conventional systems, it not only displays precipitation intensity but also identifies real threats such as turbulence, using Geographic Weather Correlation, OverFlight™ protection, and Path Attenuation Compensation (PAC). Certified turbulence detection extends up to 40 nautical miles, allowing crews to proactively avoid weather hazards and plan safer flight paths.

Robust System Performance and Seamless Cockpit Integration

With a peak power output of 50 watts and a highly reliable solid-state design, the RTA-4100 delivers high-resolution weather returns through antennas ranging from 12” to 18”. Its compact receiver-transmitter-antenna unit supports ARINC 429 and 453 interfaces and integrates seamlessly with EFIS and inertial reference systems. Features like TrueZero™ antenna misalignment compensation, SmartScan™ rapid update, and active gain control in all modes ensure high performance and adaptability across different flight phases. Designed for long-term operational efficiency, the system minimizes maintenance requirements while maximizing flight safety and crew confidence.
