Development of a Multifunctional IP ISR Pod

The Project

Our ISR pod delivers robust remote sensing capabilities, high-speed secure data transmission, and exceptional operational flexibility. Designed for deployment in both domestic and international mission scenarios, it meets the demanding requirements of government agencies, security forces, and special mission operations. In this reference overview, we present the project’s technical vision, development phases, test results, and practical applications within the context of modern mission-critical environments.

Objective: Develop a versatile pod for aircraft that supports ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) operations using IP-based communication systems.

The Development Process

Prototype 1 (GA category aircraft - Cessna T-182T SKYLANE)

Quick adaptability to various GA aircraft.
Fully remotely operated sensor head.
Energy self-sufficiency.
Data transmission beyond 100 km using relay aircraft or ViMA drone (as a 100m aerial mast).
Backup LTE communication.
Automatic cloud connectivity enabling remote access to video, voice, and data.

Prototype 2 (ULL category aircraft - Bristell LSA)

Light design to meet ULL aircraft weight limits.
Similar features to Prototype 1 with emphasis on compatibility and portability.

Testing Phases

Phase I (Aug 2021 – Sep 2022): Built Prototype 2; conducted ground and initial flight tests.
Phase II (Oct 2022 – Jun 2023): Built Prototype 1; obtained EASA approval; tested data/voice/video transmission with ViMA drone and relay aircraft at distances over 100 km.
