The HENSOLDT ARGOS-II is a state-of-the-art 16-inch class airborne EO/IR system designed for versatile ISR and targeting missions across manned and unmanned platforms. It integrates a full suite of high-definition sensors, including a mid-wave infrared (MWIR) thermal imager with continuous zoom, HD multispectral TV cameras, and optional short-wave infrared (SWIR) for enhanced visibility in low-light or obscured environments. Its advanced laser capabilities include a near-infrared pointer, laser illuminator, and an optional high-power dual-wavelength laser designator/rangefinder with eye-safe modes. A four-axis stabilized turret ensures superior image clarity, while embedded real-time image processing—featuring haze penetration, video tracking, and image blending—boosts situational awareness. With built-in IMU and GPS, ARGOS-II enables accurate geo-location and targeting, making it an ideal solution for a wide range of applications including border and maritime patrol, law enforcement, search and rescue, and military surveillance operations.
