The HENSOLDT LTR 400 is a lightweight, state-of-the-art Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) transponder designed to meet the latest NATO Mode 5 standards. Fully certified for both military and civil applications, it ensures secure and reliable identification across air, land, and sea domains. Its compact design and advanced features make it suitable for integration into a wide range of platforms, enhancing situational awareness and reducing the risk of friendly fire incidents.

Advanced Identification Capabilities

The LTR 400 supports multiple IFF modes, including military Modes 1, 2, 3/A, C, 4, and 5 (Levels 1 and 2), as well as civil Modes S Enhanced and ADS-B. It is compatible with various cryptographic computers, such as QRTK-3BNG and KIV-77, ensuring secure communication. The transponder offers standard interfaces like RS-485, ARINC 429, and MIL-STD-1553B, facilitating seamless integration with existing systems. Its design allows for control and monitoring via a Control and Display Unit (CADU) or integration into compliant avionics systems using multi-functional cockpit displays.

Operational Flexibility and Reliability

Optimized for easy integration, the LTR 400 is suitable for various platforms, including helicopters, aircraft, UAVs, submarines, and naval vessels. Its lightweight construction and flexible design simplify logistics and training for operators and maintainers. The transponder is certified for interoperability and airworthiness, complying with standards such as ICAO Annex 10 Volume IV, STANAG 4193 Part I-VI Edition 3, and DoD AIMS 03-1000B Amendment 1. Additionally, it is designed for day and night operations, featuring dimmable indicators, displays, and backlighting.
